Information you provide directly

• Account information — when you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and username. If you sign in through Google, Facebook, or Twitter, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from those services.
• Image uploads — when you upload images, we store the image files, any titles or descriptions you provide, and metadata such as file size and format.
• Support requests — when you contact us or submit a support ticket, we collect your email address, message content, and any attachments you include.
• Comments and interactions — when you comment on images or report images, we record those actions.

Information collected automatically

• Device and browser information — browser type, operating system, device type, and screen resolution.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, upload and download activity, and timestamps.
• IP address — used for security, abuse prevention, and approximate geographic location.
• Cookies and tracking technologies — see the "Cookies" section below for details.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Imghippo platform and its features.
• Process image uploads, compression, conversion, and other tool operations.
• Manage your account, authenticate your identity, and enable social login.
• Respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account.
• Monitor and prevent abuse, spam, and violations of our terms of service.
• Analyze usage patterns to improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
• Display relevant advertisements through Google Ads.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your uploaded images for any purpose other than providing the services you requested.

When you upload an image to Imghippo, it is private by default. Your images are accessible only via the direct link you receive after uploading. They are not indexed by search engines and do not appear in any public gallery.

Images uploaded without an account are treated as anonymous uploads. You can upload images without creating an account, but you will not be able to manage or delete them later without contacting support.

Temporary files generated by our compression, conversion, and background removal tools are automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours.

Imghippo uses the following cookies and tracking technologies:

• Essential cookies — required for authentication, session management, and basic platform functionality. These cannot be disabled.
• Google Analytics (Google Tags) — we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our platform, which pages are most popular, and how we can improve the experience. This collects anonymized usage data.
• Google Ads — we display advertisements through Google Ads, which may use cookies to serve relevant ads based on your browsing activity.
• Cloudflare — we use Cloudflare for security, performance optimization, and DDoS protection. Cloudflare may set cookies for bot detection and traffic management.

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the platform.

We integrate with the following third-party services that may process your data according to their own privacy policies:

• Google — OAuth authentication, Google Analytics, and Google Ads.

Your data is stored on secure servers located in the United States (Amazon Web Services). We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted data transmission using HTTPS/TLS.
• Secure authentication with hashed passwords and token-based sessions.
• Access controls that restrict data access to authorized personnel only.
• Regular security monitoring and vulnerability assessments.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to promptly addressing any security incidents.

We retain your data as follows:

• Account data — retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data including uploaded images and profile information is permanently removed.
• Uploaded images — retained until you delete them or delete your account. Anonymous uploads are retained indefinitely unless reported or removed by our team.
• Temporary files — files generated by compression, conversion, and background removal tools are automatically deleted within 24 hours.
• Support tickets — retained for as long as necessary to resolve your request and for our internal records.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data. You can do this directly from your account settings or by contacting us.
• Data portability — request your data in a portable format where technically feasible.
• Objection — object to certain processing of your data, including direct marketing.

Imghippo is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@imghippo.com and we will promptly delete that information.

For users in the European Economic Area, the minimum age is 16 in accordance with GDPR requirements.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page.
